Tabitha Peyton Wood

Tabitha Peyton Wood is an undergraduate student at Columbia University in the City of New York where she is majoring in Urban Studies with a concentration in Sustainable Development.  She currently writes for the Columbia Daily Spectator.


Previously she spent two years on the managing board of the International Dateline, winner of a Columbia Scholastic Press Association Silver Crown.  She spent the summer of 2008 on the editorial board of the Washington Post, where she also served as an intern writer and copy editor. 

 

Notable accomplishments:

– Sole recipient of the Washington Post Herbert H. Denton Award in

    non-fiction writing, 2008

– Winner of the Al Neuharth Free Sprit Award.  Washington, DC

    representative at the 2008 conference.

– Author and illustrator of published children’s book, That’s What Makes

    Me Special, 2008.
