Naomi Parikh

american journalism student scholar

Naomi is majoring in Biology at Drexel University, and hopes to take on a minor in Communication as well as a Language. She is pre-med, but also love journalism, and will continue to keep writing.

Currently, she write for the weekly paper at Drexel, The Triangle. Articles she has for The Triangle can be found here.

She worked on her high school newspaper for three years, first as a Staff Writer, then News Editor, and finally Editor-in-Chief.

She hopes to become a doctor, but also a reporter. She doesn't necessarily want to report medical stories, even though that might be easier. She loves news writing and would love to work on a newspaper after college.

She is currently living in Philadelphia and trying to make it through my first year of college. She believes it's hard, but worth it.

She also thinks  meeting Tim Russert was one of the greatest honors of her life and thinks she was incredibly lucky to have ever met him as the 2008 Al Neuharth Free Spirit Scholarship and Conference representative from the state of Delaware.

Her blog, featured on the Free Spirit Network, can be read here.
